Behind the the majestic Burdekin Falls Dam on the Burdekin River in outback North Queensland, lies picturesque Lake Dalrymple.
The lake is like a freshwater sea in the desert, with cattle drinking from its edges. This view is from a spot adjacent to the boat launching area. In the distance is Mount McConnel, sitting on the opposite shore like a sleeping leviathon.
